Privacy Policy

When you ask for a call we collect what you type: your email address, and optionally your name, company, phone number, and a description of what you need. An email address on its own is fine. We'll ask the rest on the call.

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and see which pages people actually read. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. There are no advertising trackers on this site.

We only email you about your own enquiry or your own engagement. There's no newsletter and nothing to unsubscribe from.

Where we build or look after software for a client, we hold administrative access to systems that may contain personal information about that client's own customers. We access it only to do the work the client has asked for, and only on their instructions.

The client remains the organisation accountable for that information. Under Canadian privacy law, handing it to us for processing is a use rather than a disclosure, and the client's own obligations to their customers don't transfer to us. Our written agreement with each client sets out what we may do with it.

If we become aware of a suspected breach affecting a client's information, we tell that client without undue delay and within 24 hours, with enough detail for them to meet their own reporting deadlines. We keep a record of every breach, reportable or not, for 24 months.

We remove our own access within 2 business days, return any personal information we hold, and confirm secure deletion within 30 days. Nothing about the client's own systems changes, because those accounts were always in their name.

• Vercel hosts this website and provides the analytics described above.
• Notion holds our private client records, including what you send through the form.
• Anthropic, where a build includes an AI assistant. The questions it answers and the documents it answers from get sent to the model. Under their commercial terms that content is not used to train their models, and their operational logs are deleted on a short cycle. The client's own documents stay in the client's own account.

We'll tell clients before adding a new provider that touches their information. We don't sell, rent, or trade anybody's details, and there is nobody else in the list.

These are US companies, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries. While it's there it may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities under the laws of those countries. We're telling you rather than asking you, because the law treats this as something you should know rather than something to opt into.

We'll comply, and we'll tell you unless we're legally barred from doing so.

Email hello@ulinkd.ca and we'll send you what we hold, or delete it, within a few days, and confirm when it's done.

Ask them rather than us. They hold the relationship and the record, and we act on their instructions. If you contact us anyway we'll pass it to them and tell you we've done it.
